Overview

 

 

National Debt Relief is seeking an IT Administrator II to join our growing Infrastructure team. This role is designed as a senior hybrid Systems/Network position supporting both areas of technology across on-premises and cloud environments. The IT Administrator II will take ownership of critical infrastructure systems and networks, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.

This individual will also serve as a technical escalation point, contributing to project delivery, automation initiatives, and process improvements. The ideal candidate is a versatile IT generalist with deep hands-on expertise in systems and network administration, capable of balancing operational reliability with forward-looking technical strategy.

Responsibilities

Systems Administration

  • Administer and support Windows Servers across physical and virtual environments.
  • Configure and install systems (hardware, OS, software, services) in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Manage Active Directory/Entra, Group Policy, and related identity/security services.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Monitor and maintain backups, patch management, antivirus, and application deployment solutions.
  • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate operational and administrative tasks.
  • Perform system backups, restores, and capacity/performance monitoring.
  • Contribute to documentation, best practices, and operational procedures.

Network Administration

  • Administer and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Oversee and optimize network configurations within AWS and Azure, integrating on-premises and hybrid systems.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies with Fortinet, Palo Alto, Netskope, and related tools.
  • Monitor and analyze network health, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Configure routing, web filtering, and performance optimization for critical business applications.

General Responsibilities

  • Physical installation and configuration of systems and network hardware.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define technical needs, strategies, and implementation plans.
  • Serve as an escalation point for Level 3 issues from IT Support and Infrastructure teams.
  • Participate in technical research, evaluating new tools and recommending automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Maintain knowledge base articles and SOPs to support knowledge sharing and consistency.
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related discipline preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of proven hands-on experience in systems and/or network administration.
  • Microsoft or Network certifications (MCP, CCNA, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and scripting (PowerShell).
  • Demonstrated experience with both enterprise server and networking environments.
  • Network Admission Control experience preferred.
  • Call Center infrastructure experience is a plus.

  • Background in using a Helpdesk ticketing system
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and change management practices.
